No more films: Chiranjeevi
Actor Chiranjeevi has announced that he will not be acting in films anymore and be devoting his full time into politics now. He aspires to become the Chief Minister of AP.

Chiru is the equivalent of "Rajinikanth" in Andhra and has a huge popularity and fan base. But do you think, that alone makes him a good candidate for CM?

The practice of film stars entering politics is not something new. MGR, NTR, to name a few, have been very successful as both actors and politicians. However I think, most film stars join politics on a whim or for monetary reasons or think of it as a second career to stay in the limelight. Their personality and eloquence might pull large crowds during election meetings, but will the common man benefit?
